New driver on road

It is official Tori can now learn how to drive she went down Monday and passed her written driving test. So for almost a year I can sit in the passenger seat again and wear out the floor board. So far I have only hit it one time. I am trying to be very patient and supportive. When we walked out of the police station she said now she had a reason to carry a purse.

When Betty was first driving with Daddy in the field, all of a sudden he sucked in his breath really hard and loud and grabbed the dash...She thought she had done something really bad...he was just fooling with her...

I remember Betty hit the brakes so hard she almost threw daddy into the windsheld.

i would drive over the hill to the Eldridge place as he worked on the farm over there. We could still cross dry creek at Floyd's...well I had to shift down going up that hill that Helen had trouble walking down and up. He would throw up his hands like I was about to hit something and scare me to death.

I came home from college and he was so sick with gall bladder problems he wanted me to take him to the Dr. I guess Wallace in Green Forest...I was driving fast as he was groaning and moaning. Finally, he said "sis, slow down, these bumps are killing me.

I did not really like driving then and still don't. I give the wheel over to anyone who will take it.

At school, on the days we go out to eat, everyone knows not to expect me to drive, as I won't. Larry sometimes wants me to drive but he just bosses from the passenger seat.

I hope Tori is a better driver than I. One thing, I don't cuss and fuss at the other drivers for I always think...that could be me.

I have one of those handi cap tags that you stick on the wind shield rear view ,...well Thursday when I had to have a pet scan I parked in HC...I had the top down on the vette and put the sun blinders over the front wind shield then I hung the HC tag on the window blind right by the rear view mirrow....you could see it from outside the car..

When I finnished the test I had to walk across the hospital to the front door HC spot ...and I had been feeling really bad all week...Actuslly when I stepped into the waiting room I thought, 'oh my I hope I can make it all the way to my car.' I walk outside and am just felt like I was on my last leg and some woman getting in to a car next to mine opened her car door into my side door ...It really did piss me off but I did not say anything and did not go to that side of the car to look at the ding because I was just too tired...

Then she had the nerve to roll down the window and say..'well, you don't even have a HC tag on that THING anyway..' I reached in and removed it from the front window and showed it to her...and I told her I would appreciate her not banging her door into my car...
She was very lucky I was so tired or all hell would have broke loose....and I would have called the cops...I have a rail going down the side of my car and it did chip off a little of the paint but boy it did piss me off...

I think people look at that Vette and think anyone able to drive that can not be handi caped..little do they know I fall into the seat and need a crane to lift me out of it...
